The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has announced the result of Class 10th Exam 2021.
According to the information provided by the officials of the board, a pass percentage of 99.7 per cent has been recorded for the HPBOSE 10th Students in 2021. Candidates can check the HP Board 10th Results by visiting the official website – hpbose.org

This year, a total of 1,16,954 students had registered for the HPBOSE class 10 board examination. The board announced the HPBOSE class 10 results on the basis of the alternative assessment method.
The HPBOSE Matric Exam 2021 commenced on 13th April, when students appeared for Hindi subject examination. However, following that, the exam was cancelled after sudden spike in COVID-19 cases as part of the 2nd Wave. Therefore, the HPBOSE Class 10 Results 2021 are being prepared on the basis alternative evaluation criteria which is based on performance of students in previous classes.
Last year, as per the data shared by the board, of over 1.04 lakh students who appeared for the exam, 70,571 students – 68.11 per cent – managed to clear the exam. Further, 5,617 students had to appear for the compartmental exam while the rest had failed. In 2019, 60.79 per cent of students had cleared the exam.
Among the general category students, the pass percentage was 71.56 per cent in 2020, while it is 62.59 per cent and 63.88 per cent for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe category students, respectively.
About HPBOSE:
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala came into existence in 1969 as per Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968 with its head-quarter at Shimla later shifted to Dharamshala in January 1983. The Board started with a staff of 34 officials which has subsequently increased to 643.
The Education Board prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and text books for school education in Himachal Pradesh besides conducting examinations based on courses listed. At present, the Board conducts examination for the following classes and courses: 10th, 10+2, J.B.T and T.T.C. As many as 5 Lakh candidates annually appear in the examination conducted by the Board. Presently more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board.
The Board has set up 1846 Examination centres throughout the state. Board also publishes text books for class 1st to 12th. Apart from a Liaison Office at Shimla, the Board has also established 26 Book Distribution & Guidance/Information Centres in the state to cater to the needs of students.
